A Vision of the Sun and the Moon

We live just over a mile from the beach. One afternoon my husband took us to an eatery very close to it and by the time we finished our meal, the sun began to set in. It was bright red and what a huge sight of sun it was! Slowly the sun bid farewell for another day it would come back again, and soon after that the moon shined so pretty high up in the colorful sky. It seemed like there’s some kind an understanding between the sun and the moon, to always be there right away to accompany the earth, so it’ll never be alone. While for another occasion, I happened to look at the moon when it just came one night and amazed by the dramatic look of it. It was hiding behind some clouds, yet the moon still emitted some lights that shined between the shred of clouds.

At Dusk

Moon Over Water

I saw Eternity the other night,
Like a great ring of pure and endless light,
All calm, as it was bright: –
And round beneath it, Time, in hours, days, years,
Driven by the spheres,
Like a vast shadow moved; in which the World
And all her train were hurl’d.
