I was among some Cornflowers in an empty lot when I saw a seven-spotted ladybug. It was jumping from flower to flower and flying to the further ones. I recalled some information about the cute bug, that it is helpful for a garden. As I watched the ladybug, it reminded me of the friendship between it and the flowers, and also the gardener or whoever planted the Cornflowers in that lot. There’s some force that establishes between them that connect the ladybug, the flowers and the gardener in their own world. They rely on each other. They cannot defy the other’s existence. It is how a friendship is formed. The one that lasts for a long time usually began without special reasons. I can tell that’s how my friendship with my best friend thrives. I’ve known her for 25 years. We’ve been through almost everything and between different times and long distance, that force that united us is still there, just like a ladybug and a Cornflower.
To Yeni, may your birthday be blissful than ever!
What draws friends together does not conform to laws of nature. Form doesn't know about spiritual closeness. If a grain of barley approaches a grain of wheat, an ant must be carrying it. A black ant on black felt. You can't see it, but if grains go toward each other, it's there. A hand shifts our birdcages around. Some are brought closer. Some move apart. Do not try to reason it out. Be conscious of who draws you and who not. (THE FORCE OF FRIENDSHIP - Rumi)
